We work closely with local Primary Schools to ensure that the children have a smooth transition into School. We invite reception teacher’s from the local Primary Schools and Independent Schools to the Pre-School sessions to meet their new intake.

We have particularly strong links with Tarporley C of E Primary School which operates a “Buddy” system. Pupils from Year Five have regular contact with the children who they will buddy when they enter reception class. The School organises several events each year and encourage the new reception year to attend. These have included an Easter egg hunt, Ugly Bug Ball, and Teddy Bear’s picnic. These take place at the School and help the children become familiar with the setting.
